Actually feels OK to walk in them at bike stops for breakfast and/or coffee shop breaks. spinning shoes Review date: 2008-11-18 Rating: 10 out of 10 i bought these shoes for my spin class at the gym. tennis shoes were killing my feet during the climbs, so the instructor advised i get cycling shoes if i was going to continue with the classes. i chose these shoes for the fact that i can walk from the parking lot, into the gym, hop on my bike and get started right away. everyone else has road shoes that they sit on the floor and change into. the shoes are comfortable and look like a normal hiking shoe. even though the shoes are for men, i find that the colors are pretty neutral and would suit any woman just fine. i highly recommend! A shoe that looks as good as it works Review date: 2008-10-02 Rating: 10 out of 10 I wasn't sure if I wanted to go all out for clipless shoes, as the bike for which I purchased these shoes is a hybrid and I wasn't anticipating doing 'serious' biking. In the end, I decided to compromise and get a shoe that I could actually walk around in without 'stork stepping'. After several rides on the local paved trail, with refreshment and site-seeing stops requiring I actually walk around a bit, I am very happy I made the choice I did. I coupled these shoes with Shimano PD-M324 SPD dual platform pedals - another compromise to allow me to wear standard shoes for a quick errand rides in town - and I couldn't be happier. The fit (for me, anyhow) is superb, which makes for very comfortable riding. And, while still nothing like walking in street shoes, they are not uncomfortable for ambling about. I find I am in no great hurry to take them off at the end of the ride. Nice intro to clipless Review date: 2008-07-19 Rating: 10 out of 10 Bought this at my LBS (local bike shop). I was looking to step up from toe clips and since I was buying a new bike it seemed like the perfect time to do that. My racing buddies advised against the road shoes and clips and told me that I would be happier with the SPD two bolt cleats. They were right. I much prefer the easier click in twist out. It only really took one ride for me to get familiar with it. Also the walk-ability of the mountain shoe is way better than the road shoes that my pals endure. When we walk around mid ride to get a beverage, I'm very comfortable and they are counting their steps. One day I may get serious and move up but for now I am very happy with these shoes. They fit great and work well. Also the happen to look nice. What a deal. |
